Large quarto (12 ½” x 9”) Catholic Family Bible in the Douay Rheims Version with the timeless Haydock annotations and an array of extra features.  Fine binding in full black morocco, with ornate gilt-tooled original covers and later spine in six panels offset by raised bands and original gilt panels laid down.  Covers firmly attached; headcaps intact.  Gilt inner dentelles. All edges gilt.  Working clasps.  Marbled endpapers.  46 full page plates with frontispieces, engraved, and printed titles to each testament plus an illuminated general title.  No writing except for family pages filled out.  Covers have wear with some loss of leather and gilt.  Marbled endpapers remargined.  Interior shows age with usual foxing and occasional small tears.  Last several leaves have penetrating stain.  692; 387; 356 pp.  including tables.  Very thick, heavy volume
