Classification Guide
Date: Each entry is keyed to a date. Necessary modifications are made as follows:
1582 A date standing alone refers to the date on the general title page.
1609-10: In editions with multiple title pages, the dates of the earliest & latest are cited.
1882(c): When there is no dated title page, next preference is given to the copyright date. When there are multiple copyright dates, the latest is cited.
1820(i): In the absence of a dated title page or a copyright date, next preference is given to the Imprimatur date. In the case of multiple imprimaturs, the latest is cited
1817(x): If there is no dated title page, and no copyright or Imprimatur date, the latest date appearing elsewhere int the edition, such as on a plate, or a piece of introductory material, is cited.
1819(a): If the edition is completely undated, but a specific date is mentioned in standard bibliographical sources, that date is cited
1860(+): If the edition is undated, or has dates that may be misleading, but there is internal evidence of an early parameter, that date is cited. A minus sign indicates the date is a late parameter.
1824
NT Title
Qualifiers are often added in smaller type. In this case the general title is uandted, but there is a dated New Testament title. The New Testament title date is also included as a qualifier when it is earlier than the general title date.

Definitions
Version: The word Version refers to a direct translation into English of a Biblical text from Antiquity.
Revision: For the purpose of this compilation, a Revision is any change or correction to a previously translated English text, regardless of the extent of the change or correction.
Pagination: After 1800, the pagination is added in parentheses at the beginning of each Bible entry for quick correlation with previous and/or later editions.
Entitled: In the case of abridgments, paraphrases, commentaries, and harmonies, the separate title of the edition is included in the description.
Haydock: Due to the large number of editions that include commentary by Father George Leo Haydock (1774-1849), a separate classification system was developed for that series based on the standard pagination of different editions: Haydock 1 through Haydock 8.
